Applied Scholastics Group Empowers Thousands with English Fluency in the Czech Republic

The ability to communicate effectively in English has become paramount for career success in the modern world, as English has become a de facto lingua franca in the world of international commerce. However, for many Czechs, achieving fluency remains a significant hurdle with limited access to effective programs to achieve that ability. Only a small percentage of the population ever reaches significant proficiency.

These two situations effectively limit career advancement opportunities.

The Czech situation mirrors a concerning trend: English proficiency is declining in 60 percent of countries worldwide, including in Europe. This decline poses a significant obstacle to global communication and collaboration, impacting individuals, businesses, and economies.

To address this challenge, Eva Rehorova, an Applied Scholastics educator, and her team of teachers in the Czech Republic implemented L. Ron Hubbard’s Study Technology within a network of “English as a Second Language Schools” named LITE, for “Life Improvement Through Education.”

LITE's innovative approach has yielded remarkable results by giving the Czech businesspeople the English proficiencies they need to broaden their opportunities in the global marketplace.

LITE's innovative approach follows the L. Ron Hubbard discovery for teaching a foreign language: you start with nouns—and only nouns. The program then builds to a fluency with a vocabulary of up to 3,100 words. Through this approach, students demonstrate exceptional progress, mastering English in just 14 months—a rate five times faster than the national average. This rapid learning translates into significant career outcomes, with an impressive 90 percent job placement rate for graduates.

100 percent of students achieve English proficiency.

Since its inception, LITE has empowered over 50,000 Czechs to achieve English fluency and transform their lives. This consistent success has earned the network widespread recognition. Recognitions, including the prestigious Superbrands Award—awarded to the “best of the best” English language schools—for eight consecutive years.

LITE is the #1 rated English language school in the Czech Republic.

The LITE program exemplifies the power of Applied Scholastics in enhancing learning and achieving tangible results. By applying L. Ron Hubbard's Study Technology, the program has not only helped countless individuals achieve their educational and professional goals but has also made a significant contribution to the economic and social development of the Czech Republic.
